Unless otherwise indicated, all of our coffees are Full City (light) roasted.  Other coffees will specifically indicate roasts such as Viennese (medium), Italian (dark), French (darker), and Espresso (darkest).

A darker roast means lesser caffeine because the caffeine molecule chemically breaks down longer into the roasting process.  For example and contrary to popular belief, the extremely dark espresso roast is very low in caffeine although it looks and tastes "strong."

A Full City (light) roast is best used for flavored coffee to present the maximum flavoring sensation without competing with the taste generated by longer, darker roasts.
